Déportivo

Despite being a rock band part of the "nouvelle scene" they do have a few punk elements in their music. In 2004, they released their first album, "Parmi Eux", which managed to sell about 60,000 copies. That is extremely good for any band on an indie label. By 2005 the gained enough of a fan base to tour all over France including a few stops with The Pixies. After some time off, the band came out with a second self-titled album. This album also came with a limited edition bonus DVD of behind the scenes footage. Deportivo is now currently working on their third record but if you this need a fix there is a rumour of a live album coming out soon.
