Eiffel

Not the most original name for a rock band from France but what they lack in band-naming skills they make up for it in amazing alternative rock songs. Formed back in 1996 by Romain Humeau, Nicolas Bonniere and their friends it was clear to them to start a band. Most of not all of them grew up listening to bands like Noir Desir, The Pixies, David Bowie and Sonic Youth. It is also very to hear references to these artists in Eiffel's music. Since forming they have come out with several albums (the most recent came out earlier this year), EPs, and even a live DVD. However it hasn't been the easiest for them. They've been through five drummers and three bassists. Nevertheless, the band has still done a very well for themselves. Humeau has even had a successful solo career and they've done a many collaboration over the years. Eiffel is now promoting their fourth studio album by going on a tour around France and should be finishing around mid December of this year.
