Plastiscines

Started by a group of high school friends in 2004, these girls would have a huge effect on French rock. After all meeting at a Libertines concert, it was clear that they should form their own band and that's what they did. About two years later and countless shows, the girls started to get some attention. Before they were even signed to a label they had 2 songs featured on the Calling Paris album. Less then nine months later they were signed to Virgin France. In February of 2007, their first album, LP1, was released and was almost punk-ish in an indie way. This was followed by a France wide tour with Indochine. This even got them the chance to play at several festivals. Placstiscines are now currently promoting their second album, About Love, which came out during the summer of this year, with yet another France tour. Expect them to soon be picked up by North American hipsters.
