Dinoysos

Yes, there are two French bands with the name Dionysos but the one I will be talking about is from France. The other one came from Quebec, Canada and had some success in the 70's, very little is known about them. Anyway, Dionysos was formed back in 1993 in Drome and managed to produce their first two albums without the help of a record company. It wasn't until their third album and finally being signed to a label that they started getting noticed by the public. What also got them some attention is that most of their songs revolve around a fictional surreal world. This is partly due to an influence of Tim Burton. Since the release of their third album, Dionysos has been steadily coming out with albums every 2-3 years along with several live albums. They are now currently on tour around France until the end of the year.
