Mademoiselle K

Mademoiselle K may appear to be a solo act with gimmicky name but it's actually band that got it's name from the singer first name, Katerine. She is also the founder of the group. Katerine has been studying and playing music since the age of five. When her dreams of teaching music came to an end she started playing around France for anything from free to 50 Euros a night. During these nights she would meet other musicians and soon enough a band was created. By August, 2006, an album was finally released through an indie label on EMI called "Ca Me Vexe". This generated enough hype to be on the line-up for the French Kiss Tour 2007 held in India for World Music Day. By May 2008 another album, "Jamais La Paix", was released and another tour was scheduled. The band is now taking a break but music is still being released. An acoustic cover of David Bowie's "Space Oddity" can be heard on their MySpace page.
