Indochine

If it wasn't for their first ever gig being in a cafe in 1981 Indochine might not be where they are now. After that one show they were signed to record company and released their first album in November of the same year. Since then it's being nothing but up. In the beginning, however, it appeared that only critics appealed to them but by the time their second album came out they were huge in almost every French-speaking country on Earth. Because of this world-wide fame the band has managed to go on for 28 years. That includes 11 studio albums (the most recent came out this year), 7 live albums, 3 compilation, and no more then 13 different line-up changes. In fact, Nicola Srikis, the lead vocalist, is the only original member left. Srikis and his band are now on a France-wide tour until June of next year. Expect Indochine to go now for many more years to come.
