Blankass

Started in 1990 by two brothers and a few friends, Blankass has reached levels of fame that match Noir Desir. In 1996, their first self-titled album was released and since then the band has not stopped. They've managed to come out with three other successful albums along with a live DVD last year. However, Blankass just isn't about the music. The members are huge supports of freeing Tibet and will preform at concerts that promotes awareness of this cause. Their music is also not your typical sounding rock band. They've been able to add accordions, saxophones, flutes, and harmonicas without making their music sound folky or country. In fact, they can appear to be a French Clash at some times.
