Don Cavalli

After being part of two country groups since the 1980's, Don Cavalli finally managed to go solo in 2002. That album, Odd and Mystic, got him some attention and was eventually signed to a record deal in Los Angeles. Six years after his first solo work, he came out with Cryland in March of 2008 on CD and a vinyl version was released a month later. Cavalli soon started gaining a following on the Internet thanks to bloggers and online music lovers. His music, before you dismiss it as simply just country is quite unique. He successfully incorporates elements of alternative, classic rock, pop and even indie. Think of him as the White Stripes but more folky.
