They may originate from France but they got their roots in America. This is partly do to the fact that they sing in English because "rock and roll was born in the United States". Most labels in France didn't want to sign them because they knew it wouldn't be played on radio station. This lead to the decision of the band releasing their first album, From Scratch, under their own label. This lead to a self-titled EP in 2007 and the signing to an American label in California. Their first proper album come out in 2008 and surprisingly became a hit in France. In fact they are currently touring until February of next year.
