After many years being in punk bands, he finally started to get some attention when he went solo. Born in 1968, Cali is another musician to make it late into the music scene but proven to do quite well. In 2003, he managed to release his first solo album and almost over night was an instant hit. L'amour parfait was able to become a platinum album in France. Cali followed this with a new record every year including a live album and one that managed to become gold in France. His latest was released in February, 2008. Cali's music is very much pop-rock driven with a few elements of jazz and folk.
