Thomas Fersen

Even though he didn't hit the music scene until he was 30, he has definitely proven that age shouldn't matter in music. Born in Paris, he became part of a punk group in his youth and eventually started playing the piano in cafes. By 1993 he released is first album, Le bal des oiseaux, and almost got instant fame. Since then Fersen has managed to come out with a new album almost every two year. The most recent was released in 2008. He's lyrics also have a poetic feel as he refers to plants and animals and likes to play with language. There are many puns, and symbolic references in his work. Fersen's music also has a great deal of range from album to album. One album could be very rock driven while the next is close to jazz and blues. He is now touring around France until the end of January.
